How To Begin Losing Weight
For many of us, eating healthier foods and losing weight is a constant battle. We have our favorite types of foods that aren't particularly good for us. But they taste so good!
For instance, I love to eat cookies and they are a "no-no" when it comes to healthy eating and weight loss. But, again, they taste so good!
Sometimes I have to literally force myself to avoid the cookie aisle in the grocery store because at times my will power is
very weak. I give into temptation and buy that package of Oreos.
Well, I am sick of it and it's time to do something about it. Because I am now in my early 40's and I really need to start
watching what I eat. I need to lose weight quick!
At six feet one inches tall, For most of my life I kept my weight at around 205 pounds, which is perfect in my opinion. But as
I have gotten older it is getting harder and harder to keep my weight at 205. I just weighed myself yesterday and my weight is at
233 pounds! That is unnacceptable for me! And I am really stressed out about it.
One giveaway that I noticed I was gaining weight was that my clothes are not fitting very well. They are getting tighter as
my waist is growing larger. But what can I do? Where do I start? How do I lose weight quickly?
Well, yesterday as I was shopping at the grocery store I scored a small victory. I actually bought foods that were good for me and
are healthier. Here is what I bought. I bought five containers of low-fat vanilla flavored yogurt, two bags of frozen Brocoli spears,
some hamburger meat, two bags of frozen corn and two bags of frozen mixed vegetables.
Here is what I didn't buy. Bread, which is the worst thing to eat if you are trying to lose weight because it is loaded with
carbs and calories. I also did not buy the aforementioned cookies, which was a major task for me because I always grab a package when I'm grocery shopping.
I am actually proud of myself for not yielding to temptation. It's a small victory. But small victories add up to big ones in the
long run.
Ok, now I'm starting to ramble on, but I'm sure that many of you that are are reading this can relate to what I'm talking about.
You too are finding it a struggle to eat healthier, stay with a diet and lose weight. So, believe me when I say "You are not alone!".
My struggles to lose weight have been a big part of my life as of late. Well, that is about to change.
